Practical information
To help you make the most of your stay, here's all the information you need to know about arriving, leaving and packing your personal belongings.

Your arrival :
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our receptionist and then accompanied to your room by a nurse from our healthcare team. Your insurance coverage determines the type of room you will be assigned (shared, semi-private, or private).
Admission formalities
The administrative formalities can be completed conveniently from your room. You will be asked to provide your identity card and insurance card.
Identitovigilance
You will be given an identification bracelet. It contains only the information necessary for your safety and must be worn throughout your stay.
Opening hours
Visits are possible every day from 11am to 8pm.
What to expect
To facilitate your stay and care, we recommend that you bring :
- Administrative documents: identity card, insurance card, prescriptions, recent test results.
- Personal medication: in original packaging, with prescription.
- Comfortable clothing: loose-fitting, practical clothing for rehabilitation sessions (jogging pants, T-shirts, sweaters, etc.), swimsuit, pajamas, underwear.
- Suitable footwear: closed, stable pairs (e.g. walking sneakers) for physiotherapy and travel.
- Toiletries: hygiene kit, personal care kit.
- Useful items: glasses, hearing aids, telephone, charger, possibly a book or tablet.
We recommend a practical bag that is easy to store in your room, and advise against bringing valuable items.
Your exit :
Discharge is organized once rehabilitation goals have been achieved, in consultation with the physician, the therapeutic team, and the nursing staff.
Liaison nurse
She will assist you with follow-up procedures (home care, physical therapy, or transfer to another institution).
Formalities
Administrative procedures are completed on the morning of your departure, before 11 a.m.
For organizational and safety reasons, outings cannot take place between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
On the day of your departure, you will be given a bag containing:
- prescriptions (medication, physiotherapy, home care),
- your exit letter,
- your remaining personal medications.
A discharge letter will also be sent to your primary care physician or surgeon to ensure continuity of your follow-up care.
Transport
Your return home is organized by you or your loved ones. If you wish, Clinique Châtelaine can assist you in planning suitable transportation (the costs remain your responsibility), so that your departure is as smooth as possible.

After your stay: continuing treatment and rehabilitation
After your hospital stay, you have the option of continuing your rehabilitation on an outpatient basis at CARE Charmilles, located in the neighborhood of the same name. There, you can attend physical therapy and occupational therapy sessions, or even join an interdisciplinary outpatient program tailored to your needs.
