Accompanying a hospitalized loved one is an important step, both for the person undergoing rehabilitation and for those around him or her.
Your presence and support can play a decisive role in his or her recovery.

Moral support :
Listen without judging: let your loved one express his or her emotions, doubts or fears. Sometimes just being there is enough.
- Encourage, but don't force: value every step of progress, no matter how small, without imposing your expectations.
- Stay positive: conveying optimism and confidence boosts motivation and morale.
- Maintaining social ties: your visit is an important moment, but other family members and friends can also help to support the patient.

Physical support :
Encourage participation in therapy: remind your loved one of the importance of rehabilitation sessions.
- Promote autonomy: let him do the things he can do himself, even if it takes longer.
- Provide gentle support: suggest a short walk, help them get comfortable, or remind them of the instructions given by the therapeutic and nursing team.
And for you, family members and caregivers:
Caring for a patient can be demanding. Don't forget to take care of yourself too:
- Give yourself time to rest.
- Don't hesitate to ask the care team for advice and support.
- Share your feelings with other loved ones: you're not alone in this support.
